Election and Registration Supervisor Chris Channell said the board also is on the lookout for potential fraud. He's aware of concerns about people entering from out of the state and registering before the Dec. 7 deadline to illegally vote in the Jan. 5, 2021, U.S. Senate runoff. CHANNELL LIKED POST THAT SAID ELECTION OFFICIALS SHOULD BE TRUSTED

Christopher Channell “Liked” A Linkedin Post Which Disputed The Idea That Election Officials Should Be Distrusted. “I have a theory that if people really understood the great lengths that election officials go to in order to ensure secure and accurate elections and all the checks and balances along the way, we wouldn't see the same type of distrust after elections from the side whose candidate lost. A great way to accomplish this is for elections offices to host bi-partisan tours of their operations before they get into the real crunch of election season. Kudos to Cobb County Elections Director Tate Fall, MPA, Board Chair Tori M. Silas, Esq. for being willing to host and to state legislators Teri Anulewicz and Kay Kirkpatrick (along with others in the Cobb delegation) for taking the time to attend. And to the Marietta Daily Journal for covering!” [LinkedIn, Christopher Channell, accessed 06/21/2024]
