Robert Aurandt Was A Member Of The Mahoning County Board Of Elections. [Mahoning County, accessed 8/28/24]
While Robert Aurandt Thought There Were “Irregularities” Like Dead People Voting In The 2020 Election, He Did Not Think They Changed The Results And Those Who Wanted To Overturn Were “Grasping At Straws.” “An Enquirer survey of bipartisan county election boards across Ohio found that Republican board members were less likely than Democrats to say without qualification that the 2020 election was fair and Joe Biden is the legitimate president. [...] In Mahoning County, Republican board member Robert Aurandt said he believes Biden won, but that the election was tainted in other states by “irregularities.’ ‘They found so many people that were already deceased voting, kids, things of that nature,” Aurandt said. He went on to say, however, that he didn’t think those allegations, none of which have been proven, changed the outcome. He said Republicans who wanted to overturn the election results based on claims of election malfeasance were ‘grasping at straws.’” [Cincinnati Enquirer, 11/4/22]

A 64-Year-Old GOP Volunteer Sued Robert Aurandt In Civil Court For Violating His Free Speech After Aurandt Allegedly Assaulted The Volunteer By Trying To Forcibly Remove An Anti-JD Vance Sign. “64-year-old campaign volunteer, who reported being assaulted April 27 at Mahoning County GOP headquarters in Boardman, has filed a civil lawsuit in U.S. Northern Ohio District Court charging the county Republican Party– led by Thomas P. McCabe and Robert Aurandt — plus a Columbiana County GOP official, with violating his right to free speech. [...] According to a news release announcing the lawsuit by Kovoor, Kissinger was invited to GOP headquarters, 8381 Market St., to drop off signs for GOP gubernatorial candidate Joe Blystone and senate candidate Mark Pukita. Kissinger also possessed a sign expressing “distaste for candidates who he believed had compromised the values of the Republican Party.” The lawsuit claimed Kissinger was assaulted by two men, one of whom was identified as Aurandt, a member of the Mahoning County Board of Elections. [...] The lawsuit claims the sign carried by Kissinger was in opposition to the policies of state senate candidate J.D, Vance, which “aroused the ire of many present on the scene.” The legal action claimed Aurandt led the physical assault on Kissinger by first trying to wrest the sign he was carrying from his hand. He then threw Kissinger to the ground, the lawsuit alleges. A picture of the sign is included in the complaint. It states: “Vance is a Fraud. Trump is Selling Us Out!” [Morning Journal News, 5/4/22]
