Overview
The Recount Board is appointed by the County Clerk as needed to conduct recounts.

The key duties of the Recount Board are:

In conducting the recount the Recount Board is to “examine all of the ballots” and “determine whether the ballots were voted in accordance with state election laws.” “Election Procedures Manual” at 94. For more information on the recount process, see Recounts.

- Makeup: The Recount Board must be made up of members of multiple political parties. Members of the Recount Board must not include any candidate or any relative of any candidate in the race being recounted. Nev. Admin. Code § 293.361(1)-(2).
